Description

The Tribal Lead Reduction Webinar Series is a two-part virtual training and technical assistance initiative designed to support Tribal Nations in addressing and eliminating the risks of lead exposure in Tribal children and eliminating lead in drinking water.

The series aligns with EPA’s 3Ts framework (Training, Testing, and Taking Action) and provides a structured pathway from awareness to implementation through webinars and follow-up working office hours.

  • Lead Exposure Risks & Community Response
    Tuesday, April 28 at 10:00 am – 11:00 am Central/11:00 am – 12:00 pm Eastern
    Focus on understanding risks of lead exposure in children and drinking water, community engagement, and communicating results.
  • From Results to Action: Lead Remediation Planning
    Thursday, April 30 at 10:00 am – 11:00 am Central/11:00 am – 12:00 pm Eastern
    Focus on interpreting sampling results and developing actionable remediation plans.

Who should attend: Tribal environmental health staff; Tribal water, utility, and maintenance staff; Tribal public health professionals; Tribal natural resource staff; Tribal education staff; Tribal program managers and leadership

Learning objectives:

  • Increase awareness of lead exposure risks in children
  • Strengthen Tribal staff capacity to interpret lead sampling results
  • Support development of community outreach and education strategies
  • Provide direct technical assistance for remediation planning and implementation
  • Advance Tribal-led lead reduction efforts aligned with EPA’s 3Ts framework
