FEMA: Emergency Management Framework for Tribal Governments (Anniston, AL)
3/20/2023 - 3/23/2023
Description
Preparedness:
The EMI Tribal Train the Trainer Initiative was formed with the intent of training Tribal members in the FEMA Tribal Emergency Management curriculum with a vision for these Tribal trainers to deliver the EMI Tribal curriculum to Tribal members in their own Tribal communities. As FY22 ends, we’re excited to announce the EMI Tribal Train the Trainer initiative trained 31 individuals representing 17 tribes as well as training nine Regional Tribal Liaisons from four regions. These nine Regional Tribal Liaisons (RTLs) will assist Tribal members in delivering the FEMA Tribal curriculum in their respective regions.
EMI Tribal Training Program has scheduled the next in-person Tribal Train the Trainer course April 24 – 28, in Florida hosted by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. There will also be a second Tribal Train the Trainer course scheduled in 2023.
