Good afternoon Tribal partners,

As you may know, DHS conducts a wide range of missions to secure the homeland, from
countering terrorist and other threats, managing the border, administering the immigration system, and securing cyber networks and critical infrastructure, to developing resilience and responding to disasters. The purpose of this consultation is to engage with, and solicit input from, Tribal Nations and Alaska Native Corporations on the following topics:
• What are the most significant homeland security challenges you will face over the next
four years?
• In what specific ways would you like to see DHS and our Component agencies improve support to your communities?
• What additional impacts do you believe climate change will have on your communities over the next few years?
• Are you aware of existing DHS resources available to your communities? How can the Department of Homeland Security improve its outreach to inform Alaska Native communities about our mission in Alaska and the Arctic?
More information relating to the upcoming Consultations including registration information can be found in the attached Dear Tribal Leader Letter.
Best,
Tribal Affairs Office
