Intertribal Rights of Nature Gathering
The Indigeneity team at Bioneers is pleased to announce a Rights of Nature Southern California gathering sponsored by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and hosted at the Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs, CA. This event will take place September 21-22, 2023, and is carefully designed for tribal elected officials, organizers, lawyers and youth of all ages to learn about how the rights of nature movement in Indian Country can help to protect sacred sites, watersheds, ecosystems and endangered species for future generations. You will have an opportunity to speak with experts and lawyers with your questions about Rights of Nature, and help you explore whether taking a position to pronounce nature’s rights in a variety of ways is a good fit for your community.
