APT 2025 Providence Conference - Scholarship Deadline
6/30/2025 - 7/1/2025
Description
Equity Scholarships for attendance to the APT 2025 Providence Conference - Deadline to apply June 30th!
APT and our Inclusion Advocacy Committee are thrilled to announce scholarships that support the growth and development of wide-ranging perspectives within the historic preservation field. Thanks to funding from, CSI, Simple Design Studio-Architects, and the Patti the Preservationist initiative (supported by Berggren Architects), APT is pleased to continue this program for students and emerging professionals to attend the APT Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, from November 11-15, 2025.
With this year’s theme “Revolution & Innovation,” the APT 2025 Providence Conference will explore how the power of water, crafts, and architecture can be harnessed as we navigate the ever-changing risks, opportunities, and innovative technologies in historic preservation.
Water is the lifeblood of Rhode Island, the Ocean State. Canals and rivers connect industrial centers throughout New England to Providence and its harbor on the northern edge of Narragansett Bay. With the amount of water surrounding and traversing Providence, it is unsurprising that it was an early maritime and trade hub. Today, new innovative plans focused on the infrastructure and landscaping improvements, downtown redevelopment, adaptive reuse and preservation of historic buildings, has allowed for the city to thrive. Providence, known as The Creative Capital, combines the accessibility and friendliness of a small town with the culture and sophistication of a big city. This Equity Scholarship program provides opportunities for people who may otherwise be unable to attend to bring their perspectives and experiences to APT and the broader field of preservation.
We ask that you help us reach a broader audience by sharing this scholarship opportunity with those in your network. By bringing new participants to APT, we expand on our goal to expose students and emerging professionals to the networking, professional development and idea exchange available at the APT Annual Conference.
