Description
Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Forecast Webinar
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) recently released a forecasted funding opportunity for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) Grant Program. The TVTP Grant Program provides funds to prevent individuals from going down a path toward violence and provides communities with tools to build resilience and stop hate-fueled violence. For the second year in a row, the program includes a priority to advance equity in program awards and engage underserved communities in prevention of targeted violence and terrorism. As leaders, members, and interested parties of Indian Country a Tribal Nation, you are receiving this email as part of our commitment to meet that program priority. While it is not the responsibility of the tribal community to prevent violence targeting, many Tribal Nations have expressed interest in being part of the solution to prevent hate-fueled violence against their community. 501(c)3 registered nonprofits and their partners in state, local, tribal, and territorial government, and universities, interested in applying should review the forecast and application guidance and consider applying. Please see the below information about the grant and if you are available please join an informational webinar for Indian Country on March 8th, 2023 at 3:00pm EST.
The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships will be hosting a TVTP forecast webinar for potential applicants to learn about the grant program and CP3's mission. The presentation will cover a general overview of the program, the types of projects funded, and resources that applicants can leverage. A recording of the webinar has been posted on our resource page at Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program Resources | Homeland Security (dhs.gov).
