Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund Overview Webinar for Tribal Partners
Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (EDT)
Description
The Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund exists to provide funding for quick response to oil spills and compensate eligible claimants for cleanup costs and damages from oil spills. Tribes that respond to spills, or that suffer damages from spills, can access the fund through various mechanisms.
Join the National Pollution Funds Center on May 17th at 3pm EDT in a discussion of Tribal response authorities under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, responses cost funding options through the OSLTF, and the various categories of damages for which Tribes and tribal members are eligible.
This 90-minute webinar will be a joint effort of EPA's Office of Emergency Management and the U.S. Coast Guard's National Pollution Funds Center and will include a question-and-answer session.
