In honor and celebration of last year's successful Red Road to DC Totem Pole Journey, Native Organizers Alliance (NOA) is heading to DC again!
NOA will be joined by the Lummi Nation House of Tears Carvers, Utah Diné Bikéyah, Brave Heart Society, Nevada PeeHee Mu'huh, and more for a ceremony and blessing held at the National Conservation Training Center, the totem pole's permanent home.
We invite you to tune in to the ceremony livestream on NOA's social media accounts!
Date: Wednesday, September 28th
Time: 10 am EST / 9 am CST / 7 am PST
Livestream: Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter
After the ceremony, we'll be advocating on the Hill for greater sacred sites protection and in support of two House bills have been introduced by Rep. Raul Grijalva that would make into law certain protections of sacred sites. We must act now to ensure Tribal Nations have the ability to protect, co-manage, and prevent the further degradation of these sites.
