THPO Medicine Circle: THPOs supporting THPOs through hard times, heavy topics, and strain (Recurring)

PLEASE NOTE: This event and all events in this series are open to only THPO & THPO staff. We appreciate others are interested in this topic, but this is a space for THPOs.

THPOs face many heavy topics and issues daily such as: NAGPRA, guardianship and Sacred Place protections, repatriations, warriorship, and Boarding School issues. With this comes mental, emotional, and can even lead to physical hardships. Many of these topics can also be triggering. Do you feel alone in this at times? Who do you talk to during these stressful times? What do you do to cope and keep your strength? 

This meeting will be a gathering of THPOs via Zoom to have a safe environment to share experiences, hardships, cultural values of approach, and to be a community of support to one another. You can share or just listen. No one is obligated to participate. 

These will be open discussions in a nonjudgmental space. It is important to know that we are in this together and can relate to one another with the heaviness. Who takes care of those who are the support for their people? We at NATHPO noticed this need; we hope this time can help us come together as a community and be a place of strength and support for THPOs by THPOs.
