Greater Yellowstone Coalition: Free Bison Webinar
Tuesday, September 13, 2022 (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
If you’ve been to Yellowstone National Park before, it’s likely you remember your very first bison encounter. Whether you've witnessed the intensity of the yearly rut, watched with joy as red dogs frolicked in the sage, or got stuck behind a classic bison jam, these incredible animals leave a lasting impression.
At the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, we're dedicated to seeing Yellowstone bison restored to their ancestral habitat on appropriate public and Tribal lands outside the park. Join us for an online conversation with senior wildlife conservation associate Shana Drimal on Tuesday, September 13 at 4:00 p.m. MT
When: Tuesday, September 13
Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM ET / 5:00 - 6:00 PM CT / 4:00 - 5:00 PM MT / 3:00 - 4:00 PM PT
For decades, GYC has been working on securing habitat for wild Yellowstone bison. As the population within the park increases, bison try to migrate out of the park and spread back onto their historic range. Unfortunately, human development, low political tolerance, and archaic wildlife laws make natural movements for these animals nearly impossible.
Luckily, GYC and our partners are building creative solutions for Yellowstone bison restoration on appropriate public and Tribal lands across America. Learn what we are doing and how you can help during this informative webinar with GYC's bison export Shana Drimal.
